Thank you for your interest in using the Garden County HTC Blog. This site is our place to discuss what is happening in Garden County and the four Pillars. This will work best if everyone participates. How this works?
First, this is a public site. Anyone can stumble upon our comments. The good part about that is anyone can comment. If they have enough interest to comment, then we probably want to hear what they have to say. Being public also means that this site is “RSS enabled”. Which means that you can subscribe to a feed of both the posts (this is a post) and the comments. You will need to subscribe to both. We’ll post a “how to” later.
The first time you comment, it will be held until I approve it. Once I have approved a comment from you, your comments will show up immediately. This will avoid spamming of our blog.
As I mentioned earlier, anyone can comment on a post. I would like to include everyone involved in Garden County HTC activities as authors, so you can post and not just comment. There are two steps you need to take before authoring a post. 1) Get a wordpress username at http://wordpress.com/signup 2) Let me know your username, so I can approve you as an author.
All of this approving is to protect our site from spamming. Unfortunately spam is the world we live in.

I am interested in people’s dreams for Garden County. What is your ideal future for 10 years down the road? Small or large ideas…strange or normal…what do you want to happen?
I have some to get started…
Garden County will be energy neutral - maybe wind energy so that people who live here and businesses that are here would pay little for utilities.
I would like to see Garden County have a population of 5,000 people.
I want the world to know that Garden County is the 3rd best bird watching area in the United States and that we have one of the darkest skies - meaning you can see stars and the moon.
Come to Garden County and reconnect to the earth and sky!
